NEW MUSIC: Dirty Sanchez X Rokamouth X A La Sole X Joey Bada$$ X DJ Statik Selektah - 147

Whoop-whoop, that's the sound of the police.

The guys from Pro Era are back with that nineties hip hop renaissance, giving us that West Coast anti-establishment angst. Fans of the crew are familiar with their affiliation with the number 47; a number of enigmatic significance to the late Courtney 'Capital Steez' Dewar which, when written in the American date format, marks the anniversary of Steez' debut solo mixtape AmeriKKKan Korruption's release. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the intense story of Capital Steez and Pro Era's humble beginnings, there's a very well-written article on the Fader by Eli Rosenberg that might be of interest.

In the info section on Sound Cloud, Dirty Sanchez explains that he and Steez used to get stopped by the police on a regular basis, and was in fact stopped by undercover cops again two days ago, a coincidental marking of the anniversary. With as much unbridled aggression as you'd expect, Dirty Sanchez, Rokamouth, A La $ole, Joey Bada$$ and DJ Statik Selektah went in on this one, each one holding their own and keeping Dewar's iconoclastic legacy alive.
