NEW VIDEO: Parallax - Hip Hop Philosophy

British rapper/producer, Parallax has released the first visuals off his debut EP, Depth Perception.

The hard-hitting track sees him continue to bring back the boom bap sound of the golden era with impressive lyrical dexterity in between sound bites from Byron Hurt's Hip Hop: Beyond Beats Rhymes.

The black-and-white visuals, shot and directed by Rufus Pinkerton and edited by Jake Armstrong, are reminiscent of Tupac's Krazy. Intriguingly uncomplicated, the video sees Parallax spit over Sam Zircon's jazzy production around London in what can only be described as old school hip-hop simplicity. The distinct lack of flashy cars and half-naked women gives Parallax a matured, sophisticated edge, ultimately raising the bar for his peers in the game.

Check out the visuals via YouTube below and let me know what you think.
