NEW VIDEO: Younikk - I Pray to the Lord

There really is something about Younikk, as you're about to see in the first music video off his debut album.

Idris Adedeji aka Younikk, a Franco-Nigerian cross-genre artiste takes a unique approach to his self-directed visuals using humour, naturalism and his unique (aha) vintage-inspired grandfatherly charm to tell a story of a young man who isn't where he wants to be but continues to try to be better, keeping the faith that he'll get there one day; a story I'm sure a lot of people can relate to.

The guitar-driven song has a very mature soulful vibe with his use of pure musical instruments lending him a folksy European polish. With Eyescream's Sam Friend behind the lens, Younikk uses a very believable inebriation act, strategic symbolism and a refreshing 'realness' factor that makes you smile all the way through to tell a story of camaraderie, faith, youthfulness and the pursuit of happiness. I Pray to the Lord is a brilliant first visual release off a truly admirable debut album giving intriguing insight into the Music Industry Management student's artistic capabilities, a pleasant hint of even better things to come.

The five-track version of the Something About Younikk album is available to buy on iTunes, with the extended eleven-track version available on Sound Cloud.
