Project: Goodbye For Never

Jordan Bratton X Fabolous - Danger [Remix]

Artists: Jordan Bratton, Fabolous
Producer: Jordan Bratton
Release Date: October 16, 2014
Project: Remix from track 12 on Grey Area (2013)
Rating: 4.5/5
Highlights: Jordan Bratton's vocals are stunning as ever, and Fabolous gives us some Diddy-if-he-was-actually-any-good vibes. The production is also worth noting; fantastic work from the nineteen-year-old.

Big K.R.I.T. - Cadillactica

Artist: Big K.R.I.T.
Producer: Big K.R.I.T.
Release Date: October 13, 2014

James Blake - Building It Still

ArtistJames Blake
Producer: James Blake
Release Date: October 16, 2014
Project: (released during BBC Radio 1 residency)
Rating: 4/5
Highlight: Featuring his trademark humming and everyday sounds, it's most likely not even finished, and it sounds fantastic already. I like to imagine this is him right now.

BADBADNOTGOOD & Ghostface Killah X Elzhi - Gunshowers

Artists: BadBadNotGood, Ghostface Killah, Elzhi
Producer: Frank Dukes
Release Date: October 17, 2014
ProjectSour Soul (due 16/02/2015)
Rating: 4/5
Highlights: Where do I even begin?

Lupe Fiasco X Sirah - Lilies

Artists: Lupe Fiasco, Sirah
Producer: The Buchanans
Release Date: October 17, 2014

Artist: Lucki Eck$
Producer: Plu2o Nash
Release Date: October 15, 2014
Project: Previously unreleased single from Alternative Trap (2013)
Rating: 3/5
Highlight: The spacey production is a dream.

Drake - How About Now

Artist: Drake
Producer: Boi-1da, Jordan Evans
Release Date: October 19, 2014
Project: (leak)
Rating: 4/5
Highlight: I love a good leak, but this is pretty good. He called on Jodeci again, this time borrowing the sensual vibes from My Heart Belongs to U for what is more likely a leftover track from NWTS than a new release from View From the Six. But should it not make an appearance on VFTS, it would mean the hacker "won" this round, wouldn't it?

Rochelle Jordan X IAMSU! - Playa 4 Life

Artists: Rochelle Jordan, IAMSU!
Producer: Jay Ant
Release Date: October 13, 2014
Project: 1021 (due this fall)
Rating: 4/5
Highlights: The R'n'B vibes are extremely potent, reminiscent of the late nineties.

Jay Rock - Parental Advisory

Artist: Jay Rock
Producer: SmokeyGotBeatz
Mixer: MixedByAli
Release Date: October 14, 2014
Project: (unknown)
Ratings: 4.5/5
Highlights: The angry nineties Hip Hop sound, complete with the potent lyrical flexing, illustrative pragmatism and the thumping production - gunshots, included - match his emotive vocals schtick brilliantly. The "pump-pump" sounds pretty familiar; possibly sampled from Snoop Dogg's Pump Pump from '93.

Wiz Khalifa X John Cena - All Day

Artists: Wiz Khalifa, John Cena
Producer: (unknown)
Release Date: October 13, 2014
Project: WWE 2K15 OST
Ratings: 2/5
Highlights: It's the comedy factor, really... While I wouldn't particularly mind playing WWE to this, not that WWE's been my video game of choice in recent years, I would still laugh while doing so. "They shoulda never let Cena spit with Wiz Khalifa..." Too easy, John, too easy.

French Montana X Chris Brown X Jeremih - Don't Panic [Remix]

Artists: French Montana, Chris Brown, Jeremih
Producer: DJ Mustard
Release Date: October 14, 2014
Project: Mac & Cheese 4
Ratings: 3/5
Highlights: Chris Brown and Jeremih... I don't know anyone who actually listens to a song with French Montana in it for French Montana. Not even his own songs. But feel free to dispute.

Tyga - 40 Mill

Artist: Tyga
Producer: Kanye West, Mike Dean
Release Date: October 14, 2014
Project: The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty
Ratings: 3/5
Highlights: That sinister trademark-Kanye production with regular collaborator, Mike Dean...

Joe Budden X Ransom - Make a Deal

Artist: Joe Budden, Ransom
Producer: Darknight, 8Bars
Release Date: October 15, 2014
Project: leftover track from Some Love Lost (due 4/11/2014)
Ratings: 4/5
Highlights: Er... it's free. I joke, I joke. Besides the fact that this song is bait for the Illuminati chasers, Budden's latest release from his #SomeLove series offers heavy religious material and some serious wordplay from him and Ransom, and samples Placebo's version of Running Up That Hill written and originally released by Kate Bush in 1985.

Boaz X Mac Miller - Don't Know

Artist: Boaz, Mac Miller
Producer: Alan of The Music Makerz
Release Date: October 16, 2014
Project: Intuition (due 21/10/2014)
Ratings: 4.5/5
Highlights: The horn-driven production, the uplifting vibe, Boaz's melodic flow, sultry vocals and refined 'street' lyrics - oh, and Fisherman, of course.

Raekwon - All Night Long

Artist: Raekwon
Producers: Diddy, Chucky Thompson
Mixers: Frank G., RoadsArt
Release Date: October 16, 2014
Project: (his #tbt series)
Ratings: 4.5/5
Highlights: Everything, every little thing... A moment of silence to whoever told Raekwon to remix throwback tracks... We all thank you kindly.
