#TBT: Marvin Gaye - I Heard It Through The Grapevine

Marvin Gaye - I Heard It Through the Grapevine | Ses Rêveries

This 1968 #ThrowbackThursday track from the legendary Marvin Gaye is for anyone having a particularly slow day.

Written by Norman Whitfield and Barrett Strong in 1966, I Heard it through the Grapevine was first released by Gladys Knight & the Pips in '67 but I do like Gaye's version just a smidge better - as did the radio music shows and DJs back in the day.

Check him out, performing the track live at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland in 1980 via YouTube below, looking like a beast in that red embellished jacket and ruffled shirt.

Does. It. Get. Any. Better?
