Favourites: Adam Lippes Fall 2015

I can't be the only one thinking the Adam Lippes AW15 collection feels just a tad... messy.

There are sure winners - at least for me: the cosy knits; the (mostly) muted palette with the navy and pastel blues, purple, black, white, cream and grey; the mermaid skirts (surprisingly); the cut-out boots; the boxy cuts and cocoon shapes; the midi lengths; the classic brown faux fur... it's a winning minimalist formula.

But the random pops of pink do a feel a bit out of place, as does the fuschia lace dress with its contrasting fluid silhouette and the odd shaggy knit pieces that feel a bit too dramatic - even in cream - considering the bulk of the collection is rather understated. The floral co-ords don't tickle my fancy either, but that's a personal style thing. I wouldn't have the balls to don an outfit incorporating more than one of the separates in the real world. These little issues aside, I'm having all kinds of Tibi-meets-The-Row love for this collection.
